WHO ARE WE?
A COMMITTED, INNOVATIVE AND HUMAN FASHION CREATION HUB.
Much more than just a workshop, we are a fashion creation hub that reinvents the textile industry's codes by placing humans and the planet at the heart of every decision.
Our model? Combining social inclusion and environmental responsibility in a coherent and ambitious approach. Concretely, this means producing locally, actively fighting waste, and rethinking every step of creation so that it is beautiful, useful, and sustainable.
But our strength lies above all in the women and men who make up our hub. We firmly believe that talent doesn't wait for a perfect background. That is why we open the doors of fashion professions to all those who have never had the opportunity to access them — no experience is required, only the desire to learn and create. Alongside our teams, our beneficiaries gain real skills, regain their self-confidence, and build a solid professional project through personalized support.
Fashion, social impact, ecological commitment: with us, these three pillars are one.
OUR STORY
Born in 2016 from the drive of Maya, Carlos, Nicolas, and Pauline, Espero was built around a simple conviction: supporting people in precarious situations toward social inclusion, while taking concrete action for the environment.
From its early years, the association forged partnerships that made a difference. Meeting Ibrahim, a master beekeeper with thirty years of experience, paved the way for an unprecedented human and professional adventure: around twenty people far from employment trained in beekeeping, and the first awareness workshops were launched. This beekeeping activity, although less central today, remains deeply rooted in Espero's DNA—a common thread that reminds us where we come from and what we believe in.
The support was refined and structured over time. Tailor-made guidance and integration pathways enabled more than 250 beneficiaries to take a decisive step toward stable and sustainable employment. Then the mobility project pushed beyond the borders of Île-de-France: eighteen beneficiaries moved to the Landes, completed professional training, and secured permanent contracts—a source of pride for the entire team.
Today, the upcycling sewing workshop, launched thanks to the Dispositif des Premières Heures in Hauts-de-Seine, alone embodies what Espero does best: turning an initiative into a full-fledged integration project, and giving fifty employees the means to build their future. Sewing has become our core activity, but the hives are still there—discreet, alive, and faithful to what has always driven us.
